Probably the last word most people would think of when they see the word “progress” is “prayer.” Progress as a forward movement toward a destination has far more importance for prayer than it does for its usual connection with travel or development in the material world. Father Edward Leen applied his masterful knowledge of theology to show how anyone can progress in prayer because everyone is called to holiness to be able to progress toward their final destination —heaven itself. Leen covers prayer from every aspect, showing how it can become deeper, richer, and more fruitful, so that it assists a person in the changes to their life that are necessary to draw closer to God and in the end, to be as much like him as is possible on this earth.
